I chose Little Fires Everywhere because I thought it was a good fictional book that talked about real life issues that have withstood the test of times. I knew it would be a good conversation piece for our group. In summary, the book talked about race, class, status, sexualuality, teen pregnancy, justice system, education system and interracial dating; amongst the two main families in the book. I think the ending provides a stark reality of what can happen when people feel like they aren't being heard where they sometimes resort to extreme measures to get a point across.
